In May 2018 Mawil is invited to the Festiwal Komiksowa in Warszaw to sign the new polish Edition of his Book „Kinderland“, published by Kultura Gniewu. He also has the honor to illustrate the official festival poster! For years a topless mermaid with a sword and shield, the mascot of the Warsaw coat of arms, has been used for this purpose. A worthwhile motif for a cliche comic artist :

Too bad, that would have been a funny mascot for the festival …
